We start off in Germany and it’s 1983 this is the B side of the Piet Klocke 45 Hua Hua Tschy Tschy.
I love the flute in this one.
Piet Klocke is a German musician, cabaret artist, author and actor born December 20, 1957 in Bremen.

Ifá, Um Canto Pra Subir by Margareth Menezes
Okay a Spanish release by a Brazilian singer. Margareth Menezes was born October 13, 1962 in Salvador, Bahia.
Her style is considered axé but her music also steers into samba and MPB territory, also drawing on African rhythms and reggae at times.

Koyma Hondo by Boncana Maïga
Boncana Maïga is a vocalist, flutist, arranger and producer from Mali, co-founder of the band Las Maravillas De Mali and one of the initiators of the Africando project.
This track can originally be found on the album released on West African Music (WAM) – 793 013 a French release from 1982.
But has been re released on Hot Casa Records – HC 53 as a 4 track EP

Questo Amore by Lucio Battisti
Italian singer-songwriter, born 5 March 1943 in Poggio Bustone, Italy and died 9 September 1998 in Milan, Italy.
Taken from the album Una Giornata Uggiosa on the Itialian label Numero Uno – ZPLN 34084 released 1980

From the album Pedaços originally released in Brazil but my copy is from Portugal so still fit’s the european theme! Released on EMI in 1979.
Simone actually has the wonderfully sounding name of Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira.
Simone Bittencourt de Oliveira, better known as Simone, is a Brazilian singer and a major performer of Música Popular Brasileira (MPB) who has recorded more than 31 albums.
Simone was born on December 25, 1949 in Salvador, Bahia as the seventh daughter in a family of nine children. During her teenage years she was a professional basketball player and moved to São Paulo to become a member of the women’s national basketball team. She studied in Santos (São Paulo), majoring in Physical Education

Sister of the singer Mia Martini.
Trivia for you : Loredana Bertè was married at famous Swedish tennis player Bjorn Borg from 1989 to 1993.

Mico Layczak whos real name is actually Petra Mikolajczak, is a German singer, composer, actress and tv-host, born in 1965 in Bochum. Germany.

Underwater (33 +2 Pitch) by Harry Thumann
One of those tracks that sounds so much better at the wrong speed this 45 is played at 33rpm with the +2 Pitch.
Released on Decca – F.13901 in 1979.
Harald Thumann was born February 28, 1952, † 2001, a German musician and engineer, owner of Country Lane Studios in Munich (München).

This is from a single released in 1981 on CBS records.

William Pitt is a U.S.-born pop singer who scored a European hit with ‘City Lights’.

The 45 La Métamorphose was released on Flamophone – 2097 101 in France in 1974.
Bernard Ilous is a singer, songwriter, and French arranger, born May 7, 1947 in Algiers.

Sienteme by Alan Sorrenti
As my friend Rhys Jones will tell you Alan Sorrenti is of Welsh origin, and he spent most of his childhood in Aberystwyth.
Italian singer and composer, born 9 December 1950 in Naples, Italy.
Brother of Jenny Sorrenti.
His musical debut dates back to 1972, when Alan released on Harvest the prog-rock album “Aria”, a brilliant experimental effort, also featuring such famed artists as jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty.
This track is from the album Sienteme, It’s Time To Land released on Harvest in Italy in 1976.

Zufall by Cosa Rosa
I love the eighties looking cover to this album and it reminds me of a crush I used to have for Lysette Anthony from Three Up, Two Down.
Back to the music – Kein Zufall was released by CBS in Germany in 1985.
Gefühle is another great track from this LP.
Cosa Rosa was the musical project of Rosemarie Precht and Reinhold Heil.

Fantasi by Svante Thuresson
A track made famous by Earth, Wind & Fire. Here we have the version by Svante Thuresson, a Swedish jazz musician and singer, born 7 February 1937 in Stockholm, Sweden.
The album with the wonderful cover is Svenska Versioner Av Aktuella Disco Hits on Philips out of Sweden in 1978.
