I’m doing a monthly residency for Andy Pye’s Balearic Social Radio and I was half way through curating this mix when I heard the very sad news that the cosmology we share had lost another bright star.
The mix then took on a deeper and more melancholy over jacket, my mind wandered into darkness and loss.
It was aired on a snowy March morning.

O Mistress Mine – Marcus Allen
From the album by Marcus Allen, Bobbin Zahner, Peter DuPont called Eveningsong – Songs Of Love And Moon-Filled Nights
This track contains the lyrics of William Shakespeare:
O Mistress mine, where are you roaming?
O, stay and hear; your true love’s coming,
That can sing both high and low:
Trip no further, pretty sweeting;
Journeys end in lovers meeting,
Every wise man’s son doth know.
What is love? ’Tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present laughter;
What’s to come is still unsure:
In delay there lies not plenty;
Then, come kiss me, sweet and twenty,
Youth’s a stuff will not endure.
William Shakespeare, Twelfth Night, II, iii (1602)

Full Ashram Emerging Theme – Happy Meals
The inaugural release on Optimo Music’s new “So Low” imprint is from Glasgow’s much loved Happy Meals, a duo comprised of Suzanne Rodden and Lewis Cook and is their second album release after 2014’s acclaimed “Apero” on Glasgow’s Night School label.
Full Ashram is the name of Happy Meals’ recording studio. The Devotional Ceremony is Happy Meals connecting with their cosmic inner selves. They realise their Full Ashram Devotional Ceremony, banishing demons, devils and ill will. Devote your soul to the positive forces before the misguided, suffering spirits pull you down and wipe you out.
While the album is comprised of individual tracks segueing into each other, for full salvation it is recommended to be listened to as one continuous session.
Released June 30, 2017
Dissolving The Fear, Finding Your Own Beauty – Ram Dass
